Trip advisor raves about Hotel Lemmi. It looks wonderful farmfly. Bob? Maitaitom? You are both familiar with San Quirco. Any feedback?

Thanks Travel52. DH and I are planning a trip with friends to Italy and France in June/July 2009. This is our first time traveling to either location but friends have been before. I liked what I read about Hotel Lemmi in San Quirico. However, we would really like to have an outdoor pool to relax in after visiting hill towns in the area. Would Palazzo del Capitano be a better choice? Or is there some place else to consider? Ideas? Thanks!

Hi farmfly,

I don't have info on Hotel Lemmi. Although not in San Quirico but only 5-10 minutes away (between Pienza and San Quirico) is the lovely Fonte Bertusi-

Sorry--do not have any personal experience with this place. I have stayed at Palazzzo del Capitano and often suggest it. There are a dozen good places within :20 of San Quirico, but I do love that village as a base.

We were going to stay here but switched to Locanda di San Francesco in Montepulciano prior to our trip. We did walk by Casa Lemmi and it looked fine, across from a church, very unassuming. Try it!
