Going to Paris for a week (leaving Saturday) and have a reservation for Hotel Le Tourville. I read that it is associated with one of the hotels mentioned in Travel and Leisure recently. Anyone have any experience with it?
Also, Monday is All Saint's Day. Should I expect that nothing will be open? Is it really very cold? I am coming from Chicago, so a little nippy is ok, but I want to do a lot of walking.
Any suggestions for family style/informal bistros near the 7th Arr are appreciated.

Hotel Tourville is an excellent choice. Received raves over on the AOL boards and in all the tour guides. The neighborhood is loaded with terrific and moderately priced (for Paris) restaurants. Our favorite (best, and least expensive), meal we enjoyed in Paris) was Auberge du Champs de Mars on rue de l'Exposition. Although, it seems the word is out and it's packed with Americans these days. Reservations essential. Be sure to find the crepe stand on rue Cler. Just walk down ave de la Bourdonnais, across rue St-Dominique, and up and down the side streets. It's best to peruse the menus, peek inside, and book a place that looks particularly appealing to you.
