Hotel in Rome

Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced (100-135 euros)hotel in Rome? I assume that would fall into the category of 2 stars; I need a double room. I'm hope to find something that is centrally located. I will be traveling at the end of March 2003. Thanks
Try this web site: www.cross-pollinate.com which offers B&B. Or www.the-beehive.com. Both run by an American couple who can refer you to others B&B. Very easy to use. You can check the location & map, availability by date and make reservation on line. It also gives you the email address that you may want to write for info. Good luck.

We stayed at the Hotel Smeraldo in Rome earlier this year.
www.hotelsmeraldoroma.com
Very good location, 2 min walk from Campo dei Fiori that has a market on most mornings. Can't remember the exact cost but it wasn't expensive. 2 or 3 star.
Kay

We stayed in Rome for 3 days last week, Sept. 18-20th and a very reasonable hotel was the Baileys Hotel, right on Via Venetto which was very reasonable and clean. It was centrally located so you can walk to wherever, Spanish Steps, etc. Enjoy

We stayed at Hotel Genio near Piazza Navona. It was $105 USD in Dec 2001. Great location, good room. Highly recommend for the budget traveler.

Loyola University has a campus in Monte Mario. I believe if they have open rooms they will rent them to US tourists for a reasonable price. You have to share a bathroom with students but the little cafe in the basement makes bowls of Espresso. Write Loyola University in Chicago - they have a website and ask if they still do this.

Monte Mario is not centrally located. Try the Tiziano.

Rates for May 2003 at Hotel Genio is $216. Pretty big price difference from December 2001.
