Hotel in Istanbul
We are trying ot decide between a few hotels in Istanbul for a four night stay. The choices right now have been narrowed down to the Azyiade, the Seven Hills and the Dersaadet. Any thoughts on any of those?
Thanks

More or less three of them are in the same area and have similar views and facilities. If you want a neare hotel to Divanyolu Streeet where you can find a lot of restaurants, cafes, bars, shops etc. together with public transport (trams) facilities, you may check Hotel Celal Sultan within the same category.

Thanks for the feedback. Another package that we are looking at is including the Arcadian Hotel. It didn't get the same quality of reviews on Trip Advsior. Wondering if anyone has any thoughts on that one. The overall price of that package is quite a bit less, which also has me concerned. I don't want to skimp, but I also don't want to end up with the trip taking too much of a bite out of our budget! And unfortunately with the hotels quoting prices in euros, it is already ending up being more expensive than we had originally thought.

We stayed at The Seven Hills last July in two of their very beautiful suites. HOWEVER, and this is the bad part, there was at the time a real problem with a nasty plumbing smell in the hotel, and it permeated our rooms to such an extent that we almost couldn't stay there. Apparently, it was coming from an upstairs restaurant bathroom. I'm assuming that the hotel has taken care of it by now ( since it's almost a year later), but they sure couldn't resolve it at the time. Anyway, just a heads up...

We stayed at the Arcadia Hotel a few years ago, and were thrilled by our room, and the view ,directly opposite, of the Blue Mosque and the Bosphorus beyond. (7th floor, I think). The breakfast room was on the rooftop, one floor up, and was wonderful.
It was fairly convenient , almost on the Hippodrome, and we walked everywhere. Have just got back, this time we stayed in the Erboy Hotel, more convenient, but views and rooms not as nice. Very helpful staff though.Only half a block from the Gulane tram stop, and it was so easy to get to and from the aiport.

Thanks all. Unfortunately by the time we decided which package to go with all of the hotels were booked. So we are at the very Turkish sounding Lady Diana ! Since I doubt we'll spend much time in the hotel, I'm sure it will be fine. It's in the right area, so I am anxiously anticipating being there. I'll let everyone know how it is.
