Hotel Gardesana

I booked Hotel Gardesana in Riva rather than Torri by mistake. Or, is it a mistake?

I don't know if it's a mistake, but we LOVED the one in Torri as well as the town itself. Can it be changed?

Well, they are two different hotels, if that's one of the things you're asking. The one in Riva del Garda has a web site at:

http://www.gardesanahotel.com/gb/hotel_Gardesana.htm

Riva del Garda is way up at the northern tip of the lake. It's supposedly a very beautiful area, but I've never been there.

The web site of the other hotel, in Torri del Benaco, can be seen at:

http://www.hotel-gardesana.com/

It's on the east side of the lake, just a bit north of the town of Garda. We recently stayed there, and liked both the town and the hotel.

I haven't found anyone who stayed at the one in Riva so I'm a little concerned. I've tried to contact the hotel in Torri but I've received no response which leads me to believe they are booked for my dates. I think I would prefer to stay in Torri since it's a little more centrally located. Can you recommend another hotel in Torri if Gardesana isn't available?

I'm surprised that you haven't heard from the hotel Gardesana in Torri. They're a pretty professionally run outfit, and I'd think they'd answer, even if they don't have a room available.

We contacted them using the e-mail address:

[email protected]

Their web site also has a request and reservation form in English at:

http://www.hotel-gardesana.com/index...ntatti&lang=en

If you tried to contact them on Sunday, they might not reply until late in their day on Monday.

If all else fails, you could always telephone. People at the desk speak English, in general.

Torri del Benaco was our favorite place on the lakes.

I finally called this morning. Gardesana in Torri del Benaco is sold out for the time I'm there. I have reservations at Gardesana in Riva del Garda (which I'm thinking might be too far north on the lake), Villa Elite in Limone, and Bel Sito in Garda. Any information on any of those?
