hotel for family of 4 in july in prague
Visiting with family for most of July in Budapest and want to visit Prague for 5 days or so in the middle. We're 2 adults and 2 young teens. We would have access to a car to drive there - I read there are garages separate from the hotels- which would make day trips out of Prague easier.
The Maximilian had been recommended but it's not available. Any suggestions? I want to spend less than $300 a night. Thanks

Try Hotel Podvezi, they are not the cheapest, but will be within your budget.

They have probably the largest hotel room size that I have ever seen/stayed at in Europe. I believe they have the 2-suite rooms which would work out for your family. But, we didn't have a car, so I don't know how they will accomodate your vehicle. You can literally see the bridge from your window.
They're dead on the city center, so parking will be an issue. We really liked the breakfast that is offered at the restaurant. GL. Another tip: negotiate the price, they will work with you ;-) I *always* negotiate.

You can try the links below. Some Prague 1 apartments have parking in a back courtyard, and the parking will come with the rental fee. Wenceslas Square area has a few of these, I know...

Also try these agencies. They will list ammenities, such as parking...

Some modern hotels, maybe in the Andel or Vysehrad areas, will also have garages.
