Hotel Fluorescente - Lisbon

I found very good reviews for this hotel, it is not expensive at all ( 66 Euro / double room) and it seems to be located very central.
I would like to know the opinion of Fodorites , if somebody stayed there.
I plan to be in Lisbon at the end of December.

Do you mean Residential Florescente? If so, see my review in my TR: http://www.fodors.com/community/euro...ing-lisbon.cfm

Thank you so much, Thursdaysd for your report! I found very interesting things in it, I'll copy it to print then some of your advices.
Yes, this is the hotel I am speaking about.I understand that it was OK for the small price that we have to pay there.

Now, as we shall be there in the New Year's Eve, I am looking for two option for dinner, one at Hotel Tivoli - Terrace restaurant and the second, Nectar Wine bar. Both in walking distance (10-12 min) from the hotel.

Any other recommendations for a nice restaurant in NYE?

We also wondered about the Residential Florescente considering the low rate. We were only there one night, but found the room to be quite acceptable, as was the continental breakfast. Our big problem though was the room location--directly over the front door and across the street from a concert hall. We could block the drone of the concert goers out, but not the garbage collection early in the morning. Rolling the garbage carts over the cobblestones and tossing in all the bottles at 3:30 am on one side of the street and 4:30 am as they returned on the other side of the street was quite. Our friends, who stayed in a back room, didn't have any noise. Just a heads up to ask for a back room, especially on New Year's Eve.
