hotel booked already for October 2005?

Does this seem possible? After I decided from all your posts that the 5th or 6th arr. would be better for us I tried to get Hotel de Notre Dame and it's not available......I didn't call the hotel directly but went on a few sites like Travelocity, etc...

Comments?

Many hotels won't book that far ahead - especially through the general booking sites . . . . .

I agree - - they might show no rooms, because they haven't opened their books for then - - until after the first of the year.

Best wishes,

Rex

It's too early to book for Oct. 2005. The website booking programs haven't been set up yet for Oct. 2005. You will receive a message that looks like the hotel is fully booked.

Do not be put off by this. One solution is to either call/fax them or e-mail them directly and do so right away if this is "the" hotel you want to stay in.

I did this when booking hotels this past August for a trip in July 2005. One hotel's website wouldn't let me book since the requested dates were so far ahead. I e-mailed the hotel and got an immediate response.

I wouldn't try to book a hotel this far ahead, although October is quite busy, so would try early in 2005. However, I would never accept availability of a hotel based on sites like Travelocity. A hotel may not allow some websites like that to book all their rooms. I've gotten rooms for several hotels that were supposedly fully booked on some websites (and not even one as broad as Travelocity, but Utell, for example) just by calling or Faxing them directly.

That hotel is owned by Atel hotel group, and don't seem to have their own web site, but are on http://www.atel-hotels.com/gb/

I still suspect it is too early to book online.
