Hotel Bersoly's or Hotel Muguet?

I doubt it you will find somebody who have stayed at both, and therefore tell you from first hand. My best advice is to list out different features on both and how much of a priority these are for YOU. For example, type of neighborhoods, nearby attractions, nearby metro stations, parking needed?, restaurant choices, price, etc.

I know the Muguet is in a residential neighborhood, within walking distance to the Eiffel Tower, D'Orsay, Les Invalides, two metro stations nearby, etc. I have recommended it and never gotten anything but great reviews.

I can't tell you anything about the Bersoly, becase I never stayed there. However, I can tell you that you will not be disappointed with the Muguet. Great location. Very close to the street
market on rue Cler. A short walk to the Bistro du 7,a very moderately priced restaurant with good food. The Muguet is just a short walk down to the Seine.

The Muguet has often been recommended in this forum, the Bersoly may have been as well but I don't recall. If you do a Search here on these hotels you may find previous postings.
Or look for comments from past guests at www.paris.org or
www.hotelboulevard.com

Yes, Hotel Bersoly's HAS been recommended on this board before - by me We stayed there last December for 5 nights and loved it. It is within walking distance of Musee D'Orsay, the Louvre, St. Germain, Notre Dame and Sainte Chapelle and wonderful restaurants, cafes and wine bars.
I have stayed in the Muguet neightborhood. {Was supposed to stay AT Muguet, but travel agent messed up) The front desk of Muguet was very helpful in finding us another hotel in the area. I was impressed. The lobby is charming. I didn't like the small street it was on though... I know it's a safe residential neighborhood and all... but I wouldn't have been happy wandering home alone later at night.
Having stayed at both ends of the 7eme I prefer the Bersoly's "end". [It's half a block from the 6eme. I prefer being close to the museums.
Here's our pictures of Bersoly's from last December:
http://www.geocities.com/Paris/Musee/6100/dec/hotel.htm
We stayed in the Manet room... the Renoir room next door looked lovely tooThe front desk was very helpful.
