I wouldn't do both Mallorca and Ibiza, you'll lose a lot of time getting from one place to the other. Count that you lose half a day when getting from a place to another one. Esp if it includes flying.

Congrats on your wedding !

Have you looked into the requirements for getting married in Spain ? It probably isn't as easy as here.

You will spend quite a portion of your honeymoon in airports and on ferries. Travelwise, it is quite crazy.

And be aware that you will be travelling in peak season and that you selected some of the hottest places in Europe.

Let's go a bit into detail.

Mallorca: Climatewise, it will be hot but bearable because it is an island and you have beaches. But it will be full of mass tourism. The western shore is better but the most expensive part of the island.

And yes, take more time for beautiful Mallorca and skip the barren island Ibiza. It is not worth losing quite a bit of time for transfering between the two islands.

In any case, skip Sevilla. Andulacia in August is burning hot. And don't expect A/C in hotels, restaurants, museums, stores, palaces and cathedrals.

Mykonos and Santorini will be hot too, but, again, they are islands and you will spend most of the day submerged under water.

From your itinerary, I understand that you are not so much interested in culture and history but mostly in beaches and clubbing. Right?

May have come a cropper and this is the next union . . . ;-)

Or delays occurred.

And Santorini is not beaches/clubbing like Mallorca and Mykonos and Ibiza. There are beaches and clubs, but those aren't its raison d'etre like Mykonos.

That's a short stint in Seville, which deserves more time in all likelihood.

In one of the Z recents Sherlock Holmes, Sherlock get slapped by a womand when he asks a similar question : her fiancé happened to have died inbetween, and she was getting married to another one (Dr Watson as it appeared).

I hope it is not the case... I have a big mouth but I avoid asking these kind of questions. Thousands of potential answers...

(I had a colleagues who missed an appointment with somebody who was really not happy about that. I was in copy of the mail that he sent to tell how disappointing it had been for him to come and find nobody, man, it was like fire... I answered the guy that my colleague's son had passed away on that specific day, and that he had forgotten to inform him that he couldn't attend the meeting).

Got a very long mail of apologies.
Just saying.

I'm exhausted just reading the list. Agree with either Majorca or Ibiza and my own preference would be Majorca. I would stick with Spain and leave Greece out.

You guys are right i think i might just pass on Ibiza this time and spend more time in Majorca.
Would you recommend another city/destination instead of Seville as it seems like it would be too hot?

We are a young couple, I’m 30 and she's 26 and although some culture and history is nice we are not looking to spend the majority of our time on it. More like wandering around the city, exploring and trying out food/drinks, nightlife, beaches.

And in regards to the previous thread about the wedding, that didn’t work out as planned.

<Would you recommend another city/destination instead of Seville as it seems like it would be too hot?>

Perhaps Malaga (3000 year old Phoenician Malaka) on the Med, also in Andalucia but normally cooler than the inland. Statistics says avearge highs at 86F in August, some 10F cooler than Sevilla. http://www.wetteronline.de/klima-temperatur/malaga

<wandering around the city, exploring and trying out food/drinks, nightlife, beaches.>

Compact city center with genuine Andalucian atmosphere, tons of cafes, terraces, tapas bars, restaurants, and some serious sights (The Roman theater, the Moorish Alcazaba, the huge cathedral, the Picasso museum and birth-home etc. etc.). Excellent nightlife. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/travel/de...pt-secret.html
http://www.theguardian.com/travel/20...rs-restaurants

A few tips:
The Atarazanas food market, right in the city center, with a couple of must visit tapas bars: http://eastofmalaga.net/2014/07/25/w...ry-perception/

Malaga wines on barrel at Antigua Casa de Guardia from 1840, and not much have changed since then. http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Attract...Andalucia.html

They are very serious abouth both their food and wine in small Dom Vinos: http://azahar-spain.com/azahartapas/dom-vinos/

Later in the night, Bodega El Pimpi is an institution in town, and great views of the lit Alcazaba. http://www.elpimpi.com/en/

Friday, August 05, 2016 Get in - Barcelona
Saturday, August 06, 2016 Barcelona
Sunday, August 07, 2016 Wedding Day
Monday, August 08, 2016 Barcelona
Tuesday, August 09, 2016 Barcelona or around it
Wednesday, August 10, 2016 Barcelona or around it
Thursday, August 11, 2016 Majorca
Friday, August 12, 2016 Majorca
Saturday, August 13, 2016 Majorca
Sunday, August 14, 2016 Santorini
Monday, August 15, 2016 Santorini
Tuesday, August 16, 2016 Santorini
Wednesday, August 17, 2016 Santorini
Thursday, August 18, 2016 Mykonos
Friday, August 19, 2016 Mykonos
Saturday, August 20, 2016 Mykonos
Sunday, August 21, 2016 Mykonos
Monday, August 22, 2016 Athens
Tuesday, August 23, 2016 Fly back from Athens

I'm thinking of flying to Majorca, then perhaps fly to Santorini, Take the Ferry to Mykonos. Then fly to Athens and then back Home.

I will only have a day and half before the wedding day to spend in Barcelona, so i'm thinking of spending the 3 days after the wedding in Barcelona or Around it, before heading to Majorca.

Any comments/suggestions would be helpful.

I believe that unless you're a Spanish citizen, or hold a EU passport, it will be difficult to have a wedding in Spain (civil ceremony), and certainly not in the church without meeting the priest first.

Whew, this is a whirlwind tour. But if you're really committed to both countries, I would simplify by going to the farthest destination (Greece) first.

So:

Athens then connect straight through to:

Santorini

take ferry or hydrofoil to

Mykonos

fly back to

Athens

spend at least 2 days in Athens to see the major tourist sites, stay in Plaka ( more on that later)

fly to Barcelona connect straight through to:

Majorca

fly back to Barcelona

spend a few days in Barcelona

fly home from Barcelona

Of course all of this depends on connection times. It may not be possible to connect straight through to second destinations, but that would be the most ideal itinerary.

Good luck!

BTW, please keep in mind that August is the huge vacation month for all of Europe, so it will be insanely crowded in both countries, especially on the beaches.

AND... extremely (!!) hot. When we last visited Athens/the islands in August, there were some days that were over 100 degrees.

If you still want to do it, book ASAP. Summer bookings are often done a year ahead by returning families/guests.

Although I adore Seville I would bag it for this trip. That time of year the average high is about 100 degrees and can get up to 120 degrees. And many places do not have AC.

As for the legal requirements of getting married in Spain I don;t have a clue but assume that you have looked into all of the details, paperwork, residency requirements, etc. And if you intend a church wedding have been in contact with the appropriate clergy.

>Sunday, August 07, 2016 Wedding Day< Weddings are normally held on Saturdays in Spain if I remember correctly. At least ours was.

"For those wishing to be married in a Catholic church you must consult the Archbishop in the area where you wish to be married."

"Couples wishing a civil marriage in Spain should keep in mind that there is still considerable paperwork involved and that the couple must be present in Spain for at least 21 days prior to the marriage, and that their intent to marry must be posted for 21 calendar days before the ceremony takes place."

"Couples from outside of Spain who wish to marry in Spain must provide considerable paperwork, especially if they are to be married in a Catholic church, and it is advisable that they make certain most of the paperwork is taken care of and acceptable before journeying to Spain."

Hi Guys,
We are already legally married and therefore our wedding will be symbolic with no need to any paper work. We will be having it outside of Barcelona and will have 80+ guests.

Our honeymoon will have to start in Spain even though Greece is closer to where we live.

We are not really interested in spending much time in Athens which is why its only one day before flying out of it.

I guess we need to start booking very soon.
