Honeymoon in Spain

Jump to last reply

Hi everyone! I just found this great website a couple weeks ago when I started planning our honeymoon to Spain in June. We've purchased tickets to fly into Madrid and then fly out of Barcelona, with 2 1/2 weeks to spend in Madrid (+ day trips), Granada, Seville, Valencia & Barcelona. We aren't really big city people so I'm thinking we might want to spend fewer days in the huge cities (Madrid & Barcelona) - what do you think would be a good number of days to spend in the big cities without being overwhelmed by city life? Would it be possible to spend 4 days in Madrid, with two days for day trips?

BTW - I've toured the rest of Europe and I've found most of my favorite cities & memories have been in cities that are smaller, slightly less touristy (for example, I love Mont St. Michel over Paris in Europe).
