Hello! I hope you can lend some advice for honeymooning in Italy. My fiance and I are getting married in Southern California on May 4th, and want to head to Italy right afterward. We would love to see Rome, Venice and Cinque Terre - would this be possible to do in 10 days?? If so, what do you think would be the best travel plan??
Any suggestions you have are very appreciated!
Thanks!

That would be tight, and I assume you have 10 nites to sleep in Italy--really 12 total days. If not, I would not try it.
If so, I would do it this way:
Arrive Venice---3 nites
Train to CT---3 nites[ one day lost in travel]
Train to Rome---4 nites
Fly home
The CT is always a gamble weather wise. With only 8 nites in Italy I would stick with 2 destinations, giving Rome 5 nites.
I'd probably limit it to two, also. After a long flight like that, adding more hectic travel can make for a no-fun trip.
If y ou have never been to Italy before I would slow down and relax a little. the run up to the wedding is typically hectic and I'm not sure you would want another 10 hectics days zipping around italy.
First, can you clarify how many days you actually have on the ground? Do not include the day you arrive or the day you depart. If, as I suspect you actually have 8 days in Italy I would land in Venice, spend 3 there, then train to Rome and spend 4 days there.
If you really do have 10 full days on the ground you could consider 2 nights (one full day) in CT - but do check the status of the hiking trails before you go.
