Honeymoon in Europe
We are going on my Honeymoon in September 2005.
We are going to land in Heathrow take the Eurostar to Paris for 2 nights, take a train to Geneva take the Cisalpino train to Milan, Milan to Venice, Venice to Florence, Florence to Pisa for a day trip, Florence to Rome, Rome back home in Los Angeles. This will all be going down in 9 days. I have a question regarding the train passes.
I have researched the "Eurail" pass, is this the best and inexpensive choice? Or should I just buy all of our tickets point to point while there in Europe? I also need to book some descent Hotels through my trip. Any advice and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Hi lumu,
To see if you should buy a Railpass enter your itinerary (for 2) at www.railsaver.com and click "only if it saves money".
You can buy tickets on line
for Paris to Geneva at www.sncf.com
all other tickets at www.trenitaalia.com/
Only 2 nights in Paris, on a honeymoon?!

Hi lumu,
Seven destinations in nine days does really sound like h*** as Dayle says. I strongly encourage you to re-think your itinerary and pare it down a lot. Two or, at the most, three, destinations over nine days sounds about right.

Congratulations to you both.
There are so many hotels, so many prices. I suggest you go to Venere.com and see the amazing way to check out hotels and it's easy way to book.
I leave for Paris on 29th Sept. and was very happy with my choice of hotels through them.
Namely; The Belmont, rue de Bassano, off Champs Eysees.
Next up we are at the Hotel Duquesne, Blvd.Duquesne with rooms with views of the Eiffel Tower. Lastly we are heading for Bld.Saint Germain area and are at the Hotel Clement, rue Clement.
Good luck both of you.
