Hiking, National Parks, and Drives in the Mountains in Italy

We will be staying in Florence, Rome and Sorrento. From these areas, could someone please recommend Hiking trails, National Parks good for Day trips and Day trips into the Montains? If giving Mountain recommendations, ones with towns and villages along the way would be wonderful. We don't have any hotels booked, so my Itinerary can still be tailored/edited from what I have tentatively planned already. If giving recommendations for Hikes/Parks/Mountain Drives, please include starting destination point and the best way to arrive.

We will be taking a 2nd trip next year because there is too much to see and explore in Italy. I would like to Focus on the Upper Italy near the Mountains either this trip or next. Could you please recommend trips/drives in upper Italy near Lake Como and the surrounding areas. We can even travel to the border of upper Italy.
