I just saw mention of this service in The Olive Press, but it didn't say when. Is this train currently running, or is this for the future ?

It runs now - www.renfe.com
The direct AVE trains only run a few times a day and take 3 h 50 min to Seville - otherwise you have lots of connections via a change in Madrid that take only about a half hour longer all told.
The only direct AVE in the morning leaves daily 8:15am from Valencia and as WomBatt says is up and running now.
...And book at www.renfe.com, if you have any problems try either www.petrabax.com/renfe or www.raileurope-world.com
Man in seat 61 - this is Rail Europe UK and I note they are selling Eurail Select Passes in pounds - I cannot quickly find the conditions of use but I thought UK residents were not eligible for Eurail Select Passes - has this changed, can UK residents use Eurailpasses now.
Thanks in advance if you see this and can answer.
