Help with Switzerland Itinerary

Jump to last reply

Hi...my husband and I are flying into Zurich in early July. We have the 1/2 day we arrive, and 5 full days before we head over to Cornwall. After visiting several European towns along the coast, we knew we wanted to do something in the mountains, but we don't have a specific plan yet and are completely open to suggestions. What are your thoughts on four nights in Switzerland and two in Munich? Our primary focus is on the outdoors and hiking, but I would love to fit in art at Alte & Neue Pinakothek. Plus Munich is one of my favorite cities and my husband has never been. I would love any suggestions on the best way to get around Switzerland(car vs. train), any amazing hikes or sights, city/hotel recommendations for basing ourselves and anything else great to know about that region. I truly appreciate any input, ideas, recommendations!! Thank you!
