Help with Itinerary for Ireland

Jump to last reply

Planning a trip to Ireland for mid-June, and wanted to be sure this itinerary would work:

Day 1 -- arrive Dublin. Spend two more nights (Three total).

Day 4 -- Rent car. Drive to Glendalough, spend night in Kilkenny

Day 5 -- Stop at Cashel. Continue on to Kenmore to spend the night OR Drive to Dingle (feasible or too long a day?)

Days 6, 7, -- Tour area.

Days 8 and 9 and part of 10 -- Base near The Burren and environs.

Day 10 -- Spend night in Adare

Day 11 -- Depart Shannon.

Late last year I requested help with trip to the UK, and received good advice, but we've decided to try Ireland. As on the earlier trip, we hope for some good walking, ruined castles and abbeys, and ancient sights. My main concern is with days days 5,6.and 7. Killarney National Park looks like a great spot, but would stopping there make our time in Dingle too short?

Appreciate your advice!
