I've gained so much knowledge from this site and now I would like to post a question on an upcoming itinerary.
My husband and I are planning a trip from May 29 - June 14 through Italy and Switzerland. We will most probably be flying into Venice and out of Zurich. My husband's favorite place is Venice so we cannot skip it.
From Venice we are thinking of going to Zermatt then Murren & Luzern. We have been to the Lake Como area and I was wondering if there is another place between Venice & Zermatt that should not be missed.... we have also done the Dolomites.
Thanks for your help!

The best train conneciton via Milan to Zermatt is via Stresa on Lago Maggiore---that would be my choice.
You are going to have such a wonderful time. Verona is beautiful. We loved Lucerne and Zermatt. Perhaps our favorite place in Switzerland was Gstaad. Lugano is also beautiful but if you have been to Lake Como, it is similar and only about 20 minutes away. I live in Moltrasio on Lake Como and I love the entire region of your upcoming trip.
