Help with Ireland itinerary!

My husband and I will be traveling to Ireland in 2 weeks. We booked a package that included the hotels in these places:

Day 1: Drogheda
Day 2 & 3: Galway
Day 4 & 5: Kinsale
Day 6 & 7: Kilkenny
Day 8 & 9: Wicklow

On Day 2, we plan on touring Galway City. On Day 3, we would like to visit one of the Aran Islands (we are between Inis Mor and Inis Oirr, any suggestions here?). We are having trouble planning Day 4 and 5 due to the long distance between Galway and Kinsale. We are trying to figure out if and when it would be possible to drive either the Ring of Kerry or the Dingle Peninsula. We are considering renting a hotel separately (closer to ROK or DP - possibly Killarney?) instead of staying our first night in Kinsale. This will break up the drive and possibly make it easier to fit in the ROK or DP, but we would prefer not to add the extra expense if visiting one of these is possible in one day.

Please share your thoughts on how we should best plan this part of our trip. We would hate to miss out on the ROK or DP since we will probably not be visiting Ireland again for a long while.
