Help with ferry to Skiathos

I'm thinking of going to Skiathos for some days . Can anyone tell me where can I take a ferry from Greece mailand and how long does it take to get to the island? Also, can anyone tell me where is the best place to stay in Skiathos and recommend some good hotel? Thanks a lot.
