Help with connection from Catania airport to Messina or Milazzo

Jump to last reply

Can anyone tell me the best way to get from Catania airport to ferry in Messina or Milazzo?
(The port will be determined by times of arrival to Catania, travel to the port and then Ferry, dependent on the info received, I will have to decide that later. Although more ferry options from Milazzo...)
Traveling from Rome to Catania (plane) going to Lipari.
We are traveling to Catania on Sept 19th (I believe we miss the overnight ferry from Naples) and I am wondering whether the bus, private driver, or taxi is best.
How long does it take,? How do I know I'm not being 'robbed' with price? Should I book this all in advance or is it easy once we land?
How often does the bus go? I have looked at the bus lines information but they are in Italian. All information I have found seems to be older postings and just in case they have changed I need to be sure as all other travel around this is dependent on this.

Thanks in advance....
