Help with booking trains

Hi,
I'm trying to book trains.

For Venice - Prague, on OEBB.at, when I type in Wien - Prague Hbf, I'm seeing Wien Pratersten and Wien Miedling, along with others, which do I choose?

Also, should I make seat reservations; is it necessary? I'm travelling on a Monday (if that matters).

Thanks,

Are you going from Venice (Vendig in German) or Vienna (Wien in German)?

Sorry, Venice is VENEDIG in German, not Vendig... slip of the finger!

Anyway, if it is Vienna rather than Venice, the main station there is undergoing reconstruction, so you can probably choose one of the stations closest to where you are staying.

Wien Miedling is the current big station and not difficult to get to. It is very unlikely that you'll have any problems simply buying a ticket at the station. There are quite a few direct trains every day. If you travel on the pendolino, you will have to buy a reservation. I would recommend not going on the overpriced pendolino - one of the regular fast trains are fine.
