Help with a French -> English translation, please

I have been corresponding with a vendor in France about acquiring additional pieces to a set of faïence that I've inherited. His English is a lot better than my high-school French, but he occasionally uses a word or phrase that I don't understand. In this instance, he wrote:

"Molton Majolica is not so easy to find, it is a small fabric." Any guesses as to what he means by "fabric"...manufacturer, or something else?

Thanks in advance!

Might mean factory. Fabrik or fabrika/fabricca means factory in several languages.

Yes, I'd have said factory (fabrique in French).

Yes, "fabrique" in French can mean factory or manufacturer. Undoubtedly that is what he is thinking with "a small fabric".

That's the only thing fabrique means, as far as I know, in French -- factory. At least the noun.
