HELP! Transport needed to Brighton from Heathrow with students in tow

I will be traveling to Brighton via Heathrow along with several college students. Any suggestions on transportation from the airport to Brighton. I know if we flew into Gatwick the Express train would be the easiest option. In Paris they have the Parishuttle which is a fairly inexpensive van shuttle that will transport you quite a distance for a set fee per person. Does this exist in England?

Thanks!

www.nationalexpress.com has a bus service from Heathrow airport to Brighton. If you can get into London, there is a 1 pounds bus from there to Brighton as well. www.megabus.com

mlynnhvt: I don't understand you last post - kprns has given you the two best ways to get there.

What else are you asking?

If you want to get somewhere quite distant from Heathrow, there's always a few taxi companies there (in your case Brighton) who offer much better rates than London-based operations.

Your local contacts will almost certainly know who the reliable cos are (though a quick google on "Brighton taxi" will get you a pretty complete list.).

Whether they're a great deal cheaper, quicker or more reliable than the £20/head you'll pay for the bus is, to be honest, pretty doubtful.

The unanswered question is, I believe, whether or not there are inexpensive mini bus shuttles which do airport transfers.

There is at least one. I googled "Brighton minibus coach hire" and found Albion Taxi's and Minibuses who say they specialize in airport transfter.

As noted above, hard to say without calling for a quote if they can better the price or time of the other bus service mentioned.

Good luck!
