Help to plan daytrips to Girona and Montserrat ??

If we want to take daytrips from Barcelona, how do we navigate Girona and Montserrat....the same day? Or do we see other towns closeby each of these?
?

I'm not sure I understand your question. There is plenty to see in Girona itself for one full day as a daytrip from Barcelona. I'm not sure you'd have time to visit an additional town on the same day if you truly want to see Girona.

As for Montserrat, I'm not a hiker and once I made it there was ready to leave in a couple of hours. So, it's a half day trip (for me). If you are into walks and hiking it may be a full daytrip to Montserrat - it's just your preferences.

Thanks for the advice. Is the best way a car or train to Girona?

Even if you don't hike .. you could spend the better part of day at Montserrat. We stayed until 1:00 when teh boys choir sings .. it was beautiful. My little kids were even enjoying themselves.

We loved Montserrat so much we spent the night. I'll never forget waking up there.
