Help please with Italian train schedule

Jump to last reply

I am really confused -

I read through some of the recent Q&A regarding trains from Rome to Florence, but how many options are there for train travel? I have several questions:

Background: We arrive in Rome from the US at 4:30 pm on Feb. 22 and planned to go directly to Rome via non-stop train (or at least that is what I thought). My husband tells me that we can't make the connection with customs (or if our flight arrives late) because the last train leaves at 7:30.

I don't know what website to use to confirm departure and arrival times - what site should I be using?

I was advised to purchase tickets from the airport for the Express and the Rome-Florence train... Is this the way to do it?

If we miss the train - where do I look for alternatives online and how would you suggest we book them?

Please help!
