Help needed with itinerary for French and Italian Riviera

Jump to last reply

Suggestions for your favorite cities and hotels and activities for the Italian and French Rivieras, please. Our budget for hotels is 150-300 euros nightly.

I just booked two tickets for me and my 22 year old son - flying into Milan May 23 and out of Paris June 3. My initial thoughts are 2 nights in Milan - see the Last Supper and shop for a cool Italian suit for him, then train to the Italian Riviera or Cinque Terre for 2-3 nights for hiking and exploring, train to a town near Nice for 3-4 nights, rent a car and make day trips to one or more of Vence, St. Paul de Vence, Grasse, Monaco, Antibes (this leg primarily for seeing great art and enjoying the beauty of the area) then a flight or the train to Paris for 2-3 nights, then home.

Ideas for fun activities, best towns to stay in, hotels, etc.? Thanks!
