Help me plan a 2 week trip to Lake Garda, The Dolomites and Tuscany!

Jump to last reply

My wife and I will be joining our two sons and their families ( four little girls) in Tuscany this summer for a week Aug. 1 - 8. My sons are looking for a villa to rent in the Val D" Orcia region. Our idea is to add on another trip that will include Lake Garda and The Dolomites.
We can either go the week before or after and while we have been to Tuscany before we have never been to either Lake Garda or The Dolomites. We are a very active Senior couple that enjoys photography, hiking, exploring, meeting people, drinking wine, sightseeing and listening to music.

So let the questions begin: Is it better to go the week before or after?
Where in Lake Garda to base and for how many days?
Where in The Dolomites to base and for how many days?
Any suggestions for renting a villa during that time?

Thanks!
