Help Me Critique My Paris Itinerary

Winter has been too long in Michigan, and I have become addicted to this board!! Spring is on its way and I want to be outside when that happens, so I am planning ahead. (I have had so much fun over the winter doing this)

Anyway ... we will have been in Germany for about 2 weeks before we arrive in Paris early October by train at around 11 a.m. on a Thursday at Gare du Nord. We'll take the RER and metro to our apartment at the corner of rue Montmartre and rue Etienne. I want to drop our luggage and head over the the market at rue Montorgueile (sp) for a crepe for lunch and some supplies for our apartment for breaksfasts and snacks, wine, cheese, fruit etc. Then I'm thinking we'll head down to Notre Dame, Sainte-Chappelle and Conciergie. I plan to buy 4-day museum passes there. (My husband and I will be there with another couple. My girlfriend is NOT into museums, but we are 50 something women who would like the restrooms if nothing else and her husband does not like to wait in lines, so I'm thinking the passes would still be a good investment. I've wasted a few dollars before) I'd like to wander around a little by the Seine and find a place to eat. Our food budget for dinner is probably 15-25 E per person per evening plus wine (of course), although maybe we would be willing to spend a little more one night. Any suggestions for dinner in the area of our apartment? After an early dinner we'd head to the ET to meet up with Mike's Fat Tire Tour which starts at 7 p.m. Is this way possible in one day?

Okay. So on to Day 2 (Friday). I'd like to get up, take the metro to the Arc de Triumph, get the view from the top and walk back down the Champs Elysees to the Orangerie Museum, spend a short time there and then walk around the Jardin des Tulieries. I guess we'll have breakfast in our apartment, but any suggestions for lunch? I'd like to get tickets for the 3 p.m. fashion show at Galeries Lafayette and then walk around, shop a little in that area, walk around Opera. I guess we need to eat somewhere. Any suggestions? And I was thinking since this is Friday we would "do the Louvre", spend a couple of hours there after dinner. (Are we tired yet?)

Day 3 (Saturday). Have breakfast in our apartment or a bite along the way and head to the ET, spend whatever time we need there and maybe see Napoleon's Tomb. I realize it's a ways to go by metro, but then I'd like to head up to the Sacre Coeur/Montmartre area. I was in Paris once for two days and I loved that little artsy area, Place du Tertre. I realize some of you think it's a tourist trap, but it seemed so Parisian to me my first time in Paris. Anyway, I'd like to spend the afternoon/evening in this area and have dinner (any suggestions?) and just wander around.

Day 4(Sunday). I'm thinking we'd walk to the Marais area, see the Centre Pompidou, Place des Voyages, just wander around. Don't have a big plan for the evening. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately, the next morning we'll have to pack up and get to the airport for our flight back home :(

I realize I haven't visited Ste. Germaine or the Latin District. People seem to like that area. I wouldn't mind seeing the Jardin du Luxembourg, but don't know where it would fit. I don't know if I've tried to fit in too many things or should do things in different orders on different days. I'd appreciate any of your suggestions.

Thanks so much. This has been so fun and you all are so helpful.

Cindy
