Hello everyone. This is my first post, so please be kind ![]()
I will be travelling with my husband, son, and my husbands' family (5 adults and a 1 year old) from Canada to Poland with a 3 night stopover in London on the way.
1. We are flying to Heathrow and staying for 3 nights. What is the best way to get from Heathrow to our hotel in the city (I'm hoping to get one in the Mayfair/Soho area)? Keep in mind there are 5 adults with two weeks of luggage/baby equipment, and baby that requires a car seat in a vehicle.
2. After our 3 night stay, we are flying to Poland via WizzAir out of Luton. What is the best way to get from the Mayfair/Soho area to Luton? Our flight leaves Luton at 12:50 PM. Keep in mind the previous traveller details. Incidentally, does anyone have any opinions on WizzAir?
3. We return from Poland to Luton via WizzAir. We arrive in Luton at 7:25 AM. We fly out of Heathrow back to Canada at 4:45 PM, so we have 9+ hours between flights if there are no delays. What is the best way to get from Luton to Heathrow? This time, there will be 4 adults and a baby.
4. What activities/sights are baby friendly? We'd like to walk to the sights from our hotel if possible. Does anything require pre-booking for tickets?
5. What will the weather be like in London in late May?
Thank you!

For the Heathrow to London transfer for a family its cheapest to book a private cab in advance on the web.
You'll almost certainly need a larger than standard cab.
Just Airports are a proven operator with some of the lowest fares. http://www.justairports.com/
From London to Luton you have the choice of cheaper bus v the rail service. If you're staying in Mayfair its probably more convenient to get the Bus. Its called Green Line bus, route 757. It goes up Park Lane on the estern border of Mayfair.
See:http://www.londontoolkit.com/travel/luton_bus.htm
The Train runs from Kings Cross which is a tedious transfer from Mayfair for a family and at the Luton end you have to get a free airport shuttle bus for the last couple of miles.
Luton to Heathrow there are roughly hourly buses run by National Express
