Help. I'm trying to book my Eurostar

For a couple of weeks now I keep going on www.eurostar.com and I can't get it to work. Is anyone else having this problem? I enter my country, and hit 'go' and it just won't take me anywhere. It just stays on this same page. Should I be using a different web site?

Any suggestions?

Try selecting UK as your country of residence. It works for me.

Stumped again. I got all the way to the end of the booking and it wants a 4 digit country code. Canada doesn't have a 4 digit country code. To my knowledge, Canada and USA are just 1. THis is so frustrating, as it won't let me finish the darm booking.

Hope someone has the clue for you! Country codes in Europe are all two-digit, I think. Did you try 0033 or 0044?

Hi kodi, just a thought. Have you tried using the 1 for the country code and also the city code for your area? Toronto for example is 406 I believe. That might be tha answer, a big maybe of course, but it would be a total of four numbers. Good luck!

HI Love... no that's our area code.. the same as all over the USA and Canada.. This site wants 12 digits. SO we'd have our country code which is 1, then our 3 digit area code and then our 7 digit phone number. I've tried entering 00 before the 1 but it won't take it.

I'll let you know what it should be.. I'll have to call them.

I would think it would be 01 - XXX - XXX - XXXX

Cant you just make up a number? you print the tickets anyways...just put in 44 207 111 1111 and see if that goes through. Just keep in mind you wont get notification for changes via your mobile number...

Or use your hotel's number.... starting with 44 drop the (0) and then the digits

If you live in the US or Canada you can buy your Railpasses from Rick Steves. http://www.ricksteves.com/rail/eurail.htm
You may have seen some of his PBS "Travels in Europe shows".
He is famous for using open jaw routes using the trains between cities.

Thank you everyone . Tom, I'm not buying a railpass, only a return fair on the Eurostar.
As it turns out, Jamikins is correct. I entered 001xxxxxxxxxx, yes that's right. No spaces. That was the key. I called England and was told I was not to leave any gaps.

I was almost finished the booking..and had another thought.
I don't use my full name, so I was just booking the ticket with my middle name and surname. But since I'm going into France, do I have to use my full proper name on the ticket, the same as I do for an airline ticket? Does my ticket have to match my passport?

It does have to match your passport. My hubby goes by his middle name but we always book his tickets in his full name - same as a flight.

Thank you Jamikins. It's something I thought of just as I was about to book. I'm glad I asked.
