HELP! I AM STUCKED (PARIS ATTACK)

Hi there, i am now in Venice, supposed to fly to Paris on 17th, being told that train and flight will be shut down in Paris, i am not able to contact easyjet in regard to this matter, i intend to fly to germany as replacement, can anyone guide me which station in germany/berlin should i take the train (is it EC?) To brussels? There are too many stations in germany and the line is bad in Venice here, i have just book a hotel (hotelpension margrit - 24 charlottenburg-wilmersdorf,berlin).

Note:
Original itinerary
Venice 14-16
Paris 17-20
Brussels 21-23

Don't change your plans just yet. Flights and trains to Paris from where I live in Belgium were ok. Check departures at Venice airport, I think all flights are leaving as scheduled.

Where did you read that trains and flights are canceled?

Who has told you that trains and planes are shut down? Have seen nothing to suggest your flight will be canceled. In any case, three days is a long time in this situation.

If you insist on panicking and traveling via Germany instead of France, bahn.de will figure out which train station you use to reach Belgium. I expect it will be Berlin Hauptbahnhof.

I heard that some flights were being delayed, that's all. That's a couple days off, I'd wait for the flight.

But I agree if you really want to take the train to Germany, you don't need to figure it out yourself, the website tells you the route if you put it start point and end point.

The shortest route from Venice to Berlin is through Verona, then Munich FWIW. It's still about 14 hours.

If you need reassurance, take the bus to the airport and speak to Easyjet personnel in person. Reports are that flights have not been cancelled.

You can get the #5 bus to Marco Polo @ Piazzale Roma adjacent to Santa Lucia Station.

Well, that's what the world needs now, flanner-- more belligerence; less empathy. Good job.

I don't think of it as belligerence, but as attention-getting, like 2 year olds. Forums are full of them, especially among the know-it-alls.

Anyone who has been on this forum for long should know that flanner does not bear fools ( easily or otherwise ). While his response does seem a bit harsh, it certainly has a ring of truth about it. I would not consider flanner a " know it all " as he only responds to certain posts unlike others who have to comment on every post whether they have something relevant to say or not.

Both points certainly true. And you may call the above not bearing fools, I call it a tantrum. Either way, semantics, and I think we may agree more than not.

I'm confused. Are you going to Germany (Berlin?) since you really have decided to see it instead of Paris?

If so, why are you asking about Brussels - which is in Belgium and has nothing to do with Berlin? Berlin to Brussels by train is about 7 hours with a couple of changes.

Are you really trying to get to Brussels? And if so, why go to Berlin?

You really need to clarify what you are trying to do?

I'm not dealing with the issue of flights/trains to France - since you seem to have made up your mind you don;t want to go there. Otherwise you could just continue with your plans.

Personally, I don't think flanner does tantrums.

You mean the part where he calls the poster one of the "gullible fools"? You're defending the indefensible.

"Flanner" sounds like a very angry person with little joy in life. There is no defense for such a post.

I agree with Lois, Vincenzo and the others who find a post like this uncalled for. The response from Flanner makes no sense to me. What purpose does it serve? Does it really make you feel better to hit the "post" button after something like that? Do you get a renewed spring in your step for the rest of the day? Lashing out at someone like that serves no purpose other than to make someone who is nervous feel worse.

There are "mean girls" and a couple of mean guys on this board. As someone who has been ripped to shreds on a thread by others who don't know one thing about me, I can empathize.

flanner - the OP is in a quandry and sometimes when we hear that Presdient Hollande has closed all boarders - the headline I heard from his office - it makes one wonder and subsequently yes trains and planes were running almost as usual with extra security checks -

but I guess if your goal is to insult and belittle then 'good show ole chap' but don't be so autistic - try to put yourself into the shoes of a perhaps novice nervous traveler who is using this forum and other sites to get a fix on things.

Did not you mum tell you 'flimflanner if you got nothing good to say about anyone keep quiet"?

Not helping anything but your own sick ego.

OP - please ignore that trash talk which he/she/it does repeatedly to get his jollies I guess at expense of others.

And yes such bormides are just like water off a duck's back with flimflanner.
