The end of September, I'll be spending 2 nights in Brussels and 1 day/night in Brugges. Before spending 3 days in Amsterdam, I have an extra day/night. I've been reading a lot (too much!) about Ghent, Antwerp, Rotterdam, and The Hague, but am unsure if any of them are a must.
I'm looking for a city that has more to do than just museums (will be doing quite a bit of that in Brussels & Amsterdam), has great restaurants, and "feels" a bit different that the cities I'm already visiting.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be great! Also, if you have any suggestions what areas/hotels to look at, that also would be great.
Help! Extra day/night in Benelux: Ghent, Antwerp, Rotterdam, The Hague?

I'd do another night in Brugges. I spent 3 nights there and didn't get to see all that I wanted.
Ghent would be my close second choice and Antwerp, a somewhat distant third. Been to both, but liked Brugges much more!
Haven't been to Rotterdam or The Hague.
Rotterdam would feel the most diferent. Due to bombardments in WWII and the rebuilding after, Rotterdam is a very 'modern' city. But is does have a great harbour and lots of good restaurants, museums etc.
Otherwise I would choose Antwerp or The Hague. Both in between Brussels/Bruges and Amsterdam. Both great cities. Antwerp is a very vibrant city. The Hague is less vibrant, but does have a relaxed feeling (and lots of restaurants etc) and the sea nearby!
