HELP Dublin to Bordeaux - Aer Lingus strike!

Need some help, trying figure out how (and IF) we can get from Dublin to Bordeaux via land. We land in Dublin on May 30th for our connecting flight to Bordeaux but there will be a strike that day so we are in Dublin for 3 days unexpectedly.

We are a family of four, 2 adults, a 16 YO and 7YO. We have never been to Dublin before and did not anticipate a stay of 3 days so we will be looking for some tips on just what there is to see and do in Dublin should we not be able to travel.

Preferably we would like to find an alternative plan to get to Bordeaux as we are visiting family and don't want to miss out on that opportunity as time is limited.
