Heat Wave in Rome...how have recent travelers fared?

Jump to last reply

Sweltering here in NYC this past weekend. My friend who had just returned from business in Rome and was at our home to use the pool, looked at me and said "This is NOTHING compared to Rome last week." Yikes. In a perfect world, my trip to Spain and Italy would not be taking place the last two weeks of August but in April or October, however it is the only time our whole family can get two full weeks. Alas. We are experienced travelers and will cope I am sure, but I am wondering how recent travelers to the area fared. I am taking a bit of hope in the fact that most of our trips to Italy and Spain have been in August and we have survived unscathed! And that August is oftentimes less hot than July. Fingers crossed.
