Hi Lincasanova

What a stunning coincidence. I have looked at Fodor's forums very infrequently over the past 22 months. Just last week I started reading some of the recent posts in Europe. Crazy coincidence to see your query post as I opened up the Recent Activity.

I am well. Still teaching - but entertaining the idea of changing professions. The "R" word is starting to look more appealing.

As outrageous as it may sound, I have put together an 11 day flip to Germany and France for a small group of 15 in March 2013. This is not a school board affiliated trip - but a community trip.

I will be completing the Eurotrip 2011 trip report in the near future. That trip took us to France, Italy, and Greece with a 5 day Aegean cruise tossed in.

Thank you for thinking of me.

Oh, how nice to see you again! Looking forward to the updates. If the R word is retirement, I highly recommend it, lol.

tC, what a treat to see you posting! And nice, too, to see you shepherding another group to Europe.

Looking forward to hearing more of the 2011 trip and later your trip next month. I have always enjoyed your trips reports. Your love of your students has always come through in your thorough organization, your "surprises" through the trips, your knowledge that you share so willingly.

Please keep us in the loop!

By the way, the R word is wonderful! I am a retired teacher but have found lots of ways to share my pleasure in teaching outside of the school where I taught sfor so many years. (Religious ed, senior center bridge classes, lifelong learning institute basic photography, sharing trips with presentations at local groups who are searching for speakers (woman's club, senior center, etc.)

I went a bit earlier than I had planned (unexpected events came up that made me change my long range plan) but it was the right thing for me and I am glad that I went when I still had the knack rather than waiting until everyone was saying, "Too bad she has lost it, when is she going to quit?"

In short, I think you must be quite an asset to your community and will find more than enough to occupy your hours.

I just stumbled upon this today too! TC! So great to see your post. And Ernie too!

We're in Lucca right now - home in a couple of weeks .... I think it's time for a Toronto GTG!

Best
