Has anyone used Waytostay.com for Paris rentals?

We are an extended family of 6 visiting Paris next June and I'm looking for an apartment with at least 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, not an easy task! I finally found something which looks very nice near the Louvre, the rental agency is Waytostay. I haven't heard of this agency before, has anyone of you Fodorites ever used them, how reliable or otherwise are they? The apartment itself seems to get good reviews, its on the books of a couple of other agencies too, Roomorama & only-apartments.com.

My other choice is a similar Flipkey apartment in the Montparnasse area near Hopital Necker, but I'd prefer to be in the Louvre quartier to Montparnasse. I look forward to your thoughts/suggestions, thanks in advance!

The Louvre apartment only has 1 bed, the rest are sofa beds. Will everyone be comfortable with sofa beds?

They also don't allow young children. You don't say if you have children in your party but should be aware of this in case you do.

The Louvre apartment is almost $200 more per night. If you like them both, I'd take the cheaper apartment.

Good point adrienne, I didn't notice that the Louvre apartment has only 1 bed! Yes, the Montparnasse apartment is much cheaper for similar amenities, it also has three bedrooms, though one which appears to be tiny, but my teenage niece and nephew should be okay with it. Am only wondering if we want to stay closer to the center than Montparnasse.

Any info on waytostay.com, are they legit?

A question to ask about the Montparnasse apt. is if it's directly on rue de Vaugirard as that's a busy street. If it is and if the apt. is inside a courtyard that may be fine.

Sorry, don't know anything about waytostay. Have you searched on this board or on trip advisor?

You might want to look at the Parler Paris apartments. They have a 2 bedroom/2 bath apt in the Marais (La Coeur de la Cour). I think they may also have another 2 bedroom/2 bath apt.

I am not familiar with waytostay.com. Good luck with your search!

powhatangal, have asked Parler Paris to quote me for the Ceour de la Cour apt, have you stayed there, do you recommend the agency? I've contacted Homeaway also about a couple of other places, want to decide asap and not wait till later.

Hi geeitak,

Yes, I have rented from Parler Paris and they are great to work with and the whole process is easy, including being able to pay with a credit card.

I had inquired with them about staying at Coeur de la Court apt next April but instead rented a 2 bedroom from parisbestlodge (only 1 bath with pbl, though).

I will definately rent from Parler Paris on a future trip to Paris!

Geetika (sorry for the misspelling above). Just thought I'd mention that I liked the fact that the Coeur de la Cour was on 3 levels for more privacy and spaciousness.
