Since this is not my first trip to Rome, I plan to visit the 3 new museums, MAXXI, MACRO AND MACRO FUTURE. MAXXI is not on any city maps that I have here at home and I find the ATAF website a bit too challenging for me.
I am willing to take the metro Linea A followed by taking Tram 2, but would prefer to go by bus to MAXXI. I have printed out transportation directions from the museum's website and would be very grateful to have the information fleshed out by anyone who has gone there.
I will be in Rome twice this trip, so I can depart from Termini or Via Arenula.
I'd also like to hear from anyone who has gone to the two MACRO museums.
I can recommend the wonderful Centrale Montemartini to anyone who shares my interest in what's new in Rome.
Has anyone taken public transportation to MAXXI?

If you don't want to use the Metro to get to MAXXI, you can take bus No. 910 from Piazza della Repubblica near Termini to the Flaminia/Reni stop. From Via Arenula, the No. 119 to Piazza del Popolo and then the No. 2.
The Centrale Montemartini is hardly new; it opened in the late 90s. Neither is MACRO, for that matter, although the extension of the museum is, or MACRO Future, which is now called MACRO Testaccio.
Correction: You can take the No. 910 bus right from Termini.
