Has anyone stayed in an apt. in rome?

There are 6 of us going to Rome in April. We'd like to stay in an apt. so that we're all together in the evenings & mornings. Does anyone have any suggestions of sites for apts. or apts that they have enjoyed staying in?

thanks for any help.

We stayed in Moon through http://www.romepower.com/ and had a great experience. It sleeps 7 (2 bedroom, 2 bath) and is right by Campo di Fiori.

Check out www.slowtrav.com for tonnes of apartment reviews and advice.

We go to Rome quite frequently and have for a number of years. We almost always stay in apartments and the ONLY company we use is Sleep in Italy ( www.sleepinitaly.com ). From the very first, they have had great rates, the apts. were almost always better than described and they have worked with us when we needed to change our plans. Plus, their site makes it very easy to find what you want by using a number of options. Also, I've never failed to have my deposits returned or been charged anything extra.

thank you everyone for your quick replies. I found on line that most of the apts. for 6 people offer sofa beds. Has anyone had any experience with that? I'd like everyone to have a bed but to find a 3 bedroom, it seems like you have to be further away from the attractions. I have checked out all of your suggestions & have emailed them for pricing. We're not going until April,2012.

We used rome-accommodation.net for our 9 days in Rome, May 2010. We had excellent service from the company and the appartment was exactly as represented on their web site. All of our pre-arrival questions were answered promptly. I'd use this company again for a return to Rome. Have a great trip. Deborah

Try www.cross-pollinate.com as they provide an excellent search engine and great customer service. My husband and I stayed at a wonderful apartment near to the colosseum--not big enough for your group but they have loads of selection and reasonably priced. I highly recommend them.

A few years ago 4 of us stayed in an apartment near the Campo di Fiori, in the direction of Largo Argentina. Nothing remarkable about the particular apartment, but we loved the area.

Close walking distance all over the historic center, several food markets nearby, easy transportation access, and lively street scene.

We stayed in an appartment recently that was associated with the Hotel Crosti. It was near the Termini in a good neighborhood (near Castro metro). I'm not sure whether they have larger apartments but they would have two adjoining apartments.

Also look at VRBO.com for apartments. VRBO means vacation rental by owner. We've had good luck with it and with sleppinitaly.com.
