The five of us (two couples and one son) have been looking for a 3 bedroom 2-bath apartment in London from January 4th through January 8th. We have scoured VRBO, Air B&B, and other services mentioned on this board. We are trying to find a place for around $350/night, so far without much luck. London Connections, Coach House, and A Place Like Home all require 5 night rentals, and we're only in London for 4 nights.
We have found a potential apartment in Kensington through Premium Holiday Apartments. However, there are no reviews on the site, the manager wants a bank transfer, and we are concerned about the reliability of this company. Has anyone used them? Any other ideas for options we may have missed?

You could look at homeaway, they do have some with that descriptions that are free, such as this one
http://www.homeaway.com/vacation-rental/p858001
It's more expensive than you want some of the days in your period, but not others, so might be possible. It rents by the day, it appears.
I have not heard of that agency - doesn't necessarily mean there is anything to worry about but I have heard of most London short term/holiday rental agencies.
Maybe consider this . . . Your budget is fairly generous so you could look at some of the ones w/ 5-night minimums. If you 'eat' one night your average over 4 nights would still be $350/£220 or less.
