Happy journey, kopp, we'll miss you!

Hi kopp ~

I know you are only a couple days away from departure and wanted to wish you a pleasant journey.

I have always wanted to visit Prague and am looking forward to reading your report.

We will miss you!

Hell y'all -

What a surprise! You're a doll for this little note, tiff! It has brightened my day!

DH and I got suckered into...excuse me...we were kindly asked by some friends about a month ago if they could join us. At the time it seemed like a good thing. Now I'm not sleeping just thinking of how it's all going to unfold.

Just got back from a farewell lunch - and, man oh man, I may be in trouble! Many of you may remember the Tennessee Trio of Terror and the neon orange Eiffel Tower outfit?

Well, at the lunch, in walks my friend with a couple packages. Lordy, lordy. What she takes out would pop your eyes out of their sockets, lol! A neon green striped lycra spandex top with matching pants. OMG, I thought I would roll over. And she's so proud of her new shoes (yes, buying shoes 2 days before a trip, a no-no!), the brightest, shiniest pair of - get this - high gloss patent leather. "Look, you can see my reflection," she boasts. Reminds me of the Marine Corps spit shine.

What have I got myself into?

As STW said, breathe...breathe..

This trip has us flying into Frankfurt, then train to Prague, Dresden & Berlin, then 3 weeks of hiking in Switzerland. Our friends are with us the first 2 1/2 weeks only ! Six weeks total, one 21-inch suitcase.

Thanks for your good wishes.

kopp darlin, I gotta tell ya, after the first 2.5 weeks with your guests, you might just want to run into those Swiss Alps and keep on hiking, never to be heard from again...

Don't worry, we'll speak of you well.

AnnMarie - had to laugh at your 22 comment! You never know what a gal from Texas might be packin', lol! &lt

Tiff - I'm thinking that's about the way it will be -

Faina - you betcha! Between the ice cream, chocolates, and apple strudel, it's a good thing we'll be doing a lot of hiking!

Hi kopp---I haven't looked into Zermatt any more. . . busy on other trips (and work). But if you see any places that make you think "Gee, that place looks great!" (for view, location, ambiance, or whatever), I'd appreciate the name and I can follow up.

And don't worry about the ice cream, chocolate, etc.---with all the hiking, you'll lose weight there.

kopp, have a fabulous time! I'll be looking forward to hearing all about it when you return.

I'm sure you are just SO going to be missing that Texas summer heat while you are gone.

Yippee! Suitcase is zipped and downstairs ready for tomorrow! Went out to Mexican dinner. Had to get my fish tacos and margarita fix for six weeks!

statia - you're so right, girlfriend! This is our "escape the heat" trip. It's high 90s here thru September. Just checked the weather for our first stop, Prague. Low 70s. ahhhhh.....

Now be good and behave yourselves. No banning allowed! O

Bye y'all! >-

Hi Kopp, I too am wishing you a beautiful trip. Getting your fish taco and Margarita fix, priceless!

And about your friends outfit, just think, if she gets lost "someone" will be sure to see her, lol!

Best wishes to you, enjoy every moment, even the irritating ones. Sometimes those of the memories we chuckle about years later.

Have fun and eat and drink well!!
