Hammersmith/West Kensington, London?

Is Hammersmith part of West Kensington? I have two address', one says Gunterstone Road, West Kensington and one says Gunterstone Road, Hammersmith.

Anyone know if this is the same street?

Gunterston is a short road near the Barons Court and West Kensington tube stations. It may be "in" Hammersmith - but is on the edge of West Kensington. It is in W14

Yes - it is the same street . . . . . .

Gunterstone Road is a perfectly acceptable road to the North of The Talgarth Rd.

There's also a nearby crack house in Burne Jones House* should you feel the need.

*there always is.

GAH! TMI......I'm not seeing any "feel the need" happening in my life never mind in my holiday.

Perfectly acceptable street? I guess your meaning it's middle class and upkept? I hadn't thought to worry about that.......yikes I certainly hope so!

Yes it's middle class. Very pricey houses there too.

The thing about London (and most of Britain) is that rich and poor live next to one another, so that while the expensive houses in Baron's Court are the preserve of the wealthy they are also a five minute walk from the West Ken Estate - which is horrid.

There's a really good pub nearby called the Curtain's Up which has a theatre in it.

CW - previously stationed at Hammersmith.

Thank you CW. We'll keep a thought for Curtain's Up. Good tip.
