We'll be going to Copenhagen in August and were wondering if anyone has any personal experience to recommend a group guided walking tour of Copenhagen. Thanks so much.

No but I recommend you take a boat tour of the harbour and canal. Tours leave from Nyhavn. You could never walk all that distance and you see the city from a unique vantage point.
Commentary is in English. It's OK.
If you get a Copenhagen card, the tour is free to you.
The Copenhagen card is described in my trip report:

Thanks, ted. We plan to get the Copenhagen Card and go on the boat tour as you suggested. Enjoyed your trip report. We are going to be there 6 days so we're also looking for guided walking tour suggestions.
That's a truncated trip report, of course. I stopped posting because it appeared no one was reading or responding.
One item I would have recorded, had I continued, was our visit to Frederiksborg Castle, just outside Copenhagen. It is easily reached (using C'hagen card) by fast suburban train.
It is shown in the final photos on this album:

I realize this is irrelevant to your original post but I had to pass on this recommendation
FWIW - with a guide Book, a good map and some good walking shoes, you can really see a lot on your own. That is what we did last year.
A guided tour is really not necessary. The city isn't that large. I've basically walked the whole inner city hundreds of times over. I lived there during the summers for a couple of decades.
A good guide book, with a walking tour outlined, will more than suffice. Or you can also rent a bike as they are easy to rent and the public transportation is also excellent. Happy Travels!
