Guide, car and driver for Provence.

Can anyone personally recommend a guide/driver with a car for a couple who would like to spend some time in Provence for 7-10 days. These folks are lively in late seventies, early 80's and would like to avoid the stress of driving. Your recommendations and how these deals might work (how lodging and meals are usually handled in this type of arrangement) is greatly appreciated. We've often been to Provence but have always handled all our own arrangements. Many thanks.

Hi,
In 2005 when I was on a Med. cruise we used Catherine for a day tour in the Provence area. Our ship stopped in Marseille and she met us there and returned us to the port at the end of the day.
It was one of the highlights of our trip. I had communicated back & forth with her via email about what we wanted to do, etc and she was marvelous. We had a wonderful time that day.

Even though it was only for a day and maybe not what you want you might still look at her website and see if what she offers fits what you need.
Here is her website...I am not affiliated with her in any way other than being a very satisfied customer. I hope it is not against any rule of Fodor's to give you this website.

Fantastic info--many many thanks. If anyone else has another contact, I'll add it to the research.

See ShellD's recent trip report, June 21. They hired a driver in Provence.
