Greek islands vs. Amalfi Coast for Honeymoon?

Jump to last reply

My fiance and I are having a hard time deciding between Italy and Greece for our honeymoon this August. The iteneraries would be as follows:

Italy: Three nights in Rome at the Baracco, then four nights at the Poseidon in Positano. Our last night would be just outside of Rome so we can get to the airport on time in the morning.

Greece: One night in Athens at the Electra Palace in the Placa (sp?). Three nights in San Turini at the Astra. Three nights in Mykanos at the Belvidere or the Embassador. Then our last night in Athens at the Electra Palace.

These hotel names were given to us by our travel agent as nice, reasonable, and unique places to stay. We'd both really like to go to Italy, but our travel agent suggested Greece and we've heard it's wonderful there. Does anyone have any opinions or advice for us? We've never been to Europe, so we're clueless!!! Thanks so much.
Amy
