Greece and Switzerland honeymoon tour

Hi,
We are planning to travel to Greece and Switzerland for our honeymoon in March /April from India. The dates Are flexible.
In Greece I am looking to cover Athens, Santorini and Crete, any other suggestions for any other island that we should not miss?
For Switzerland, Interlaken, Lucerne and Zurich are the choices.
We have a 10 day schedule, hope it should be sufficient.
Can someone suggest something that can help me in planning?

Much Love ❤️
Priyanka!!

With so little time, I would do one or the other but not both.

I would say pick one or the other. 10 days in 6 places would mean less than 2 days in each place not counting travel time between Greek islands and travel to Switzerland.
It would not be worth it.
March-April Switzerland would still have snow in the mountains. The weather would be cool to cold in places.
I loved visiting both places but for a honeymoon in early spring I would pick Switzerland.

10 days total Home to Home? If so you don't even have time for all your destinations in EITHER country.

One+ day spent getting to Europe and one day traveling home leaves you 7.5 to 8 days 'on the ground'. That is rushed but doable for Athens, Santorini and Crete. Or 3 places in Switzerland.

In April I'd probably choose Greece.

Congratulations on your forthcoming wedding!

The Greek Islands are primarily summer destinations, and March is still winter, even in Greece. Daily ferries between Santorini and Crete begin in April, so if you wait until then you can visit the two without having to go back through Athens. That said, you really don't have time for both Santorini and Crete— how about Santorini and Naxos, which would be more manageable with the time you have available?

Be aware that Greek Orthodox Easter is April 8th in 2018. That will be a good time to observe traditional Greek customs, but transport will be very busy in the week around that date.

March is a wonderful time to visit Switzerland if you plan to ski. It will be too early for hiking, and I can't think of a Swiss city that would be worth travelling from India for. Were it me I would stick with Greece on this trip, and go in April.
