Trip Report Great Cotswolds Lodging - esp 4 families

Jump to last reply

Hi All - Just wanted to post about the lovely B & B in the Cotswolds, Windy Ridge Estate. We stayed here last week in their Stable Thatch Cottage, one of 2 cottages for rent on the grounds of the B & B. I had initially read about the WR B & B on this board and am so glad we stayed there. It is in the tiny village of Longborough, 3mi from Stow-on-the-Wold and also 3mi from Moreton-on-the -Marsh. It really is in the perfect location for exploring the Cotswolds - a 15 min drive to Bournton-on-the-Water, 10 min to Snowshill and Broadway, 15 min to Chipping Campden.

We traveled with our 1 year old and 5 year old and found the cottage to be the perfect place for us. There was a master bedroom with a Queen bed, one kids room with a twin with a lovely painted wall with a rainbow and some characters, and another room that we didn't need with a double bed. The grounds of the estate were just beautiful and we had free reign to wander where we wanted to. The cottage had washing facilities which was helpful with the kids.

Our favorite restaurant was Hasaan Balti, a Bangladeshi restaurant in
Moreton on the Marsh. We also liked the Queen's Head in Stow and in Chipping Campden the Mediterranean restaurant Michael's. There is also a pub just behind the Windy Ridge that we enjoyed.

would love to help if anyone has questions.

Julie
