Granada-Alhambra Questions
Are 2-days sufficient to see Alhambra & Generalife and Gardens, or should I plan on more time? Where is the best shopping in Granada, in terms of where to find best deals? What particular street/s should we go to for the best deals?

IMO one FULL day (depending on how fast you like to move) is sufficient to see the Alhambra and the gardens.
Be aware that a good part of what you'll see is/are empty rooms/spaces in/within the various buildings themselves. The grounds and gardens are another matter and you could probably linger in those for longer periods.
Again, it depends on how fast you like to move, how interested you are (if you've been to the Alcazar in Seville some of the architecture/decoration is going to seem VERY familiar)in it, etc.

I agree with previous posts. One day for the Alhambra and another for the city.
You can enter the complex by the Justice Gate and Pilar (water trough) of Carlos V, then Palaces (careful with your time slot) and then move upwards to Partal Gardens and Generalife gardens. Then you can take the Cuesta de los Chinos, a beautiful and little known walk outside the walls, all down to Paseo Padre Manjon and Acera del Darro, towards city center. Take a look at a map, if you can. Cannot help you with shopping.

TOUR OF THE ALHAMBRA AT NIGHT.
Plus, tour the gardens in the morning.
The night tour of the Alhambra is one of the most stunning and magical and memorable experiences you can have as a tourist in Europe. Only a fraction of the people who pour into the Alhambra during the day go at night. The moon, the lights, the empty buildings so rich in decoration. It's extraordinary.
Seeing the gardens the next day in the cool of the morning is fantastic.
Do not miss the night tour. You will have to pay for two admissions, I believe, but once you have traveled that far, it is really pennywise pound foolish not to have this incredible experience.
