GPS device needed in Italy? Tom Tom or Garmin

Jump to last reply

We will be touring Italy (Rome, Positano, Florence, Venice, Tuscany) primarily by walking and train between cities. We'll only be renting a car for Tuscany.

Do you recommend getting a GPS for touring the City on foot? Do we need one in Tuscany?

Which is best for Europe - a TomTom or Garmin? I have a Garmin here in Canada and it works great, but some people have said that the TomTom is better for Europe?

Any thoughts?
