Goaves or Stalis in Crete? beach for boys...

Jump to last reply

Need accomodation -- We seek a sandy beach organized with sporty things that appeal to active 15 year old boys (rental kayaks, windsurfers, etc.) and lounges/umbrellas for we moms. We only have 4 nights so want to stay within an hour of Heraklion airport, and hope to visit the Cretaquarium, Lychnostatis, a cave and some ruins. (Kato) Goaves seems well located for all these side trips, but what about the beach there? How does it compare to Stalis the other location we are considering? Does anyone have a favorite beachfront place in Goaves? (We want a modest beachfront place with a pool and some kind of wifi; breakfast onsite would be a plus & walkable restaurants nearby a necessity!)
